Feeling Sketchy | Card Sketch #108

Hi there

Feeling Sketchy have the latest sketch up on the blog so I thought I would pop in and share my card.

I decided to flip the sketch and coloured a digital stamp from Aurora Wings with Copics before adding a few older embellishments from my stash.

A reminder too, that there are some awesome prizes this month from our fabulous sponsors

I do hope to see your entries over on the blog!

Feeling Sketchy | Layout Sketch # 107

Hi there,

It's time to share the latest layout sketch at Feeling Sketchy and our wonderful designer Debi has produced another great sketch to work with!

And this is my take on the sketch. I have scrapped my gorgeous and new little nephew Hunter.
I layered some tags and labels around the photos, added some pretty ribbon, circle die cuts and stamping.
A very quick and easy page!

I hope you can join us for this challenge and look forward to seeing your pages in the link on the blog.

Art + Design | Everyday

Hello again

I have finished my second layout from the Art + Design class over at Big Picture Classes.
The class is now finished but I am determined to complete all of the layouts! It may take me a while to get through all the lessons but the designs and techniques shown are so inspiring!

For this page we used one of Wilna's fabulous cut files ( there are so many included goodies in this class) and Wilna explains all about using the Silhouette for cutting.
I can use all the help I can get here as my Cameo continually frustrates me!
I rarely get a cut I am happy with and well I can just forget about cutting any intricate designs, lol.
Anyway by using Wilna's tips I was able to get a good cut for this page....

I decided to scrap the afternoon we released turtles on Kuta Beach. The Balinese do this each day and I have always loved turtles (I had a pet turtle as a child) so it was a wonderful experience to take our turtles to the waters edge and watch them swim out to sea.
I hope ours were among the lucky ones that made it to grow to adulthood.

Scrappy Canary Cybercrop | Challenge #3

Hi there
It's been so song since I participated in a cybercrop!
The kids are away this weekend so things are quiet at my house, and luckily Scrappy Canary came to the rescue with some great challenges over on the blog.
This challenge caught my eye straight away...

I love pastel pink and gold together and I had the Open Book range from Crate Paper sitting on my desk so I decided to scrap this lovely black and white photo of my niece on her wedding day.

I started by sewing down strips of pattern paper scraps in pastel shades and matting the photo to another lovely pattern from the range.
I really do love each side of these papers!
I then layered gold vellum ephemera and added a few gold foil heart and label stickers (which I have just realised looks pink in the above photo as I was wearing a hot pink when I took the shot, hehe).

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my layout.
