Winter Retreat layouts to share

Hey there

I have some layouts to share that I completed at the ScrapBoutique Winter Retreat at Lake Macquarie last weekend. I had the best time with a really lovely group of ladies and managed to finish seven pages!
Woohoo :)

So in no particular order - this is what I created!

For this one I used a Prima stencil I purchased at the retreat with Heidi Swapp Colour Shine.

I'm sure I will get a lot of use out of this stencil and am looking forward to using the words individually on my projects.

I loved this Instagram photo I took at my niece's baby shower of the beautifully set table.
I have used a mix of Studio Calico kits here...

I love adding touches of gold to my pages!

And another Instagram  photo of my niece with a mix of kits. Loving the gold rub ons here!

And these October Afternoon alphas are so lovely.

Here I have used gold glitter Zing powder to emboss flowers onto the background of this pretty Webster's Pages paper. Love this photo of my gorgeous niece on her wedding day!

The flowers are so pretty in real life!

Next up is a simple page of my nephews at the Jetty Beach using a single piece of Simple Stories paper, diecuts and enamel dots. Can't get enough of these little dots of colour!

This must be the quickest and easiest page I created on the weekend but I love the result.

Here I played with a new Tim Holtz  eyechart stencil.
I love it and these funny photos of my nephew being cheeky because he didn't want his photo taken.

And I had fun splashing mist around on this page too :)

And lastly a page of my beautiful niece that was inspired by a Maggie Holmes design using the Studio Calico add on Skeeball.

There are those gold rub on stars again...yummy!

I love this mix of papers with the old book paper and machine stitching!

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have enjoyed looking at my retreat layouts.

Feeling Sketchy Card Sketch #96

Hey there

Card sketch #96 has been posted on the Feeling Sketchy blog and the design team have been working with lovely digital stamps from Aurora Wings.
This is the fabulous sketch...

And my card using the Elegantly Arranged Corner which can be found here.
I decided to leave this one uncoloured as I liked the contrast against the lime green paper and added some lovely wide ribbon and gorgeous, glittery Heidi Swapp words.

I hope you can pop on over to the Feeling Sketchy blog to check out the inspiration from the design team and join in this fabulous challenge.
You don't need to use a digital stamp - just follow the sketch and there are some great monthly prizes to be won!

Hi there

Woohoo it's school holidays and I was at home yesterday to take delivery of my monthly parcel of goodies from Studio Calico!
They arrived super fast this month and I could not wait to get creating with the Penny Arcade kits!
So I decided to play along with the Sunday Sketch...

And this is my card using the latest card kit.
I also added a few embellishments from the Spun Sugar add on and from my stash.

Feeling Sketchy Layout # 95

Hello again

The layout sketch challenge has been posted at Feeling Sketchy! I loved the sketch by Debi Clark and couldn't wait to get creating!

This is my page!
I started off by stamping with paint on bubble wrap. I love the texture this creates and it was good to get the paints out again. I added some Heidi Swapp color shine and layered Maggie Holmes Styleboard paper and vintage book paper over a Studio Calico doily. These really are the nicest doilies...so fine and delicate! I then added a few labels, stickers, stamping and a few little embellishments and I was done. Easy peasy! I hope you can stop by the blog and check out what the fabulous design team have created.

July Scrap the Girls and a fond farewell...

Hi there

The July challenge has been posted over at Scrap the Girls!
The challenge is to use paint and texture paste on your layout!

I had so much fun with this one! I stamped the feathers with paint and then mixed the colours and added it to texture paste before applying to the calendar stencil. I love the dimension that using texture paste adds to your page! I also had fun with misting, water colouring and stamping on this page.

Sadly my term at Scrap the Girls has come to an end so this will be my last page as a creative team member. I have enjoyed being a member of the team and hope I have inspired you in some way! Hope you can join the challenge this month and be sure to check out the blog next month to see the new team announced.
