ScrapBoutique April Cyber Crop

Hello again
The April cyber crop is on over at ScrapBoutique and it's all about remembering!
This is my entry for Karen's challenge which was to be inspired by this inspiration pic and to choose one word from the wordle...

I was inspired by the lovely poppies so decided to use my Donna Downey foam stamp with gelatos! The colour was blended by laying down the colour and then misting with water and blended with my fingers...it's messy but so much fun! I then coloured the stamp with the gelatos, misted with water and stamped...this creates a gorgeous water colour look. I later added some kindyglitz to add some sparkle. I had so much fun using these techniques! A little tip is to use the stamp more than once! I found there was still a lot of colour on the stamp so I re misted and  stamped again..and again! I now have a art journal page, card and a sheet of paper to use on a future project, lol.

I am really loving adding lots of layers to my pages at the moment. This page uses no pattern paper! I have layered this gorgeous American Crafts vellum with tickets, washi tape, diecuts, shipping tag, Maggi Holmes canvas frame and embellished with Jillibean Soup stickers and alphas, Studio Calico chipboard stars, glitter tape and A Piece of Cake Designs flair.

My word chosen from the wordle is Remember!
Hope I have inspired you to stop by the Boutique and join in one of the challenges :)

Feeling Sketchy

Hi there
My lovely friend Debi has joined the design team at Feeling Sketchy so I thought I should pop over and have a look. I found they have fabulous sketches for cards so thought I would play along! This is the latest sketch...

And my card using Basic Grey Oxford paper and chipboard. I decided to make a card to give to my son when he graduates from school later this year...best to be prepared :)

ScrapBoutique April Stylist Challenge

Hi there
Yay!
It's school holidays and I have some time off work so I decided to play along with the April Stylist challenge at ScrapBoutique
The challenge set by Sharon is to create a layout using no pattern paper.
So this is what I came up with...

Using lots of different templates with ink, mist, gesso and impasto and quite a bit of stamping too!
I have also used lots of different bits and pieces from my stash including washi and paper tape, a few diecuts, sequins, stickers, wood veneer and flair from A Piece of Cake Designs.
The black and white pattern is the packaging from the template with gesso and impasto and creates a lovely texture.
Why not pop over and join in the challenge! It would be great to see some new faces join in :)

ScrapBoutique Easter Challenge

The lovely Chelsea posted an Easter Sketch Challenge over at ScrapBoutique so having a few days off seemed like a great excuse to have a play.
This is the awesome sketch...

And my page using the March A Piece of Cake Designs kit. I just love the mix of papers and embellishments in the kits and these colours are so easy for me to work with!

And I have finally finished my February Boutique Lifestyle pages (insert red face here) so I thought I would share a couple. I could not share the front page as I still have my title to do! I decided to use my Silhouette Cameo to cut the month from a HS file I purchased but I seem to be having nothing but trouble. I inserted a new blade only to have it chew up a whole page of cardstock trying to get it to cut :( These machines are great when they work but sooo frustrating when they don't :( So I have yet another blade on order and I have put in a call for help to the manufacturer. lol

The sun is shining so I'm heading out into the garden! Hope you have a great day xx
