Speed Scrapping and Expo Class Page!!

Hi there
The cc is on over at ScrapBoutique and Sharon kicked it off last night with the speed scrap! Our theme is School/Holidays and this is my page using October Afternoon Sasparilla.

I love these photos of my niece and nephew on a walk at the local Botanical Gardens. Each school holidays they love to spend time out and about with their Gran and luckily she loves to take lots of photos to document their outings!

I also have the page from my class with Sonia Thomason to share. Wow these Scrapmatts chipboard pieces are just so perfect! I loved working with them and can't wait to play with more of the items that I picked up at the Scrapmatts stand.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend and finding some time to create :)

Stylist challenge layout!

Good morning!
It sure is a wintery day here today so I am staying inside with the fire warming the house :)

Still not much happening on the scrappy front but I hope to fix that this weekend and over the school holidays!!
This month I am hosting the ScrapBoutique stylist challenge and I chose an inspiration pic from Design Seeds...

I loved the misted background in the picture so decided to go with misting my Prima paper with Shimmerz  mists in colours from the palette. I have also used Prima flowers and gems, Flourish with a Bling swirl, Bo Bunny cameo and chipboard from 2Crafty and Scrapmatts.

The Scrapmatts chipboard title and other pieces were left over from a class pack...they really are gorgeous chippies  :)

This weekend is cc time over at ScrapBoutique... It's a great place to find some inspiration, try out a challenge and have some fun! I would love to see you there :)

Hope you are staying warm and finding some time to create!

Layouts to share

Good Afternoon

Time sure does fly and it's been a while since I last blogged!
I have been so busy and never seem to get enough scrappy time at the moment :(
There are always so many other things to do and I must admit that I spend to much time on the computer...should be creating instead!
I had a fabulous long weekend at the Scrapbook Expo in Brisbane! I did two fantastic classes with the super talented (and super nice) Angella Peardon and Sonia Thomason in the Scrapmatts classroom. I am a very slow scrapper and didn't complete my pages so will have to share those another day, but I am loving how they are coming together. I was lucky enough to buy a left over kit from one of the classes that had booked out on the day too so I can't wait to get creating with it! I also managed to do a bit of damage to the bank balance stocking up on lots of Scrapmatts and Imaginarium chipboard and Ranger Distress Inks to name a few. Oh and yes I did get to see the man himself, Tim Holtz doing what he does best, creating wonderful art! Even had a front row spot for a while, lol.
I just love hanging out at Southbank!
I also got to do some cool things that weren't scrap related...watched a movie (doesn't happen to often at home), visited the Mummy Exhibition at the Museum (totally loved this), tasted some yummy Japanese food, great coffee and enjoyed it all with some other crafty gals.
Can't wait for it all to happen again!!

Now I have a few pages to share from my latest ScrapBoutique Stylist pack...

Webster's Pages Everyday Poetry... Lovely colours in this range and I just love the cameo's!

and a few closeups

and the very pretty doilies...

And a few pages using Crate Paper Storyteller! I love this versatile collection and a favourite of mine is the mini clothes pins. So cute!!

and a simple card using some stickers from the range...

That's it for today!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to be back to share my Expo class pages with you soon :)
