Merry Christmas!

Hi there,
Just wanted to hop on here and wish all my wonderful scrapping friends a Merry Christmas and a Healthy and Happy New Year! Hope you get to spend some quality time with your loved ones over the holidays :)
It's a crazy time of year and there is always so much to do in the lead up to the big day! I'm looking forward to catching up with my visiting family and spending time at some of the beautiful beaches nearby.
I have been spending time in the kitchen cooking and making one of my favourite treats...Christmas Bark!
I then got the Silhouette working to make some little boxes to package it in.

These were so easy and fun to make! I have used Kaisercraft paper and tags and recycled ribbon!

I like to buy gift cards for some of my harder to buy for family and this year I made some pretty little holders to give. I have used scrap papers and a Heidi Swapp printable sentiment for an inexpensive gift card!

Thanks for visiting and for the lovely comments! They really make my day :)

Long time, no post...

**warning extra long post**
This year is really flying past so quickly, I can hardly keep up!
A few weeks ago I went along to the ScrapBoutique Coffs Harbour Retreat at Opal Cove. I had the best weekend shopping, scrapping, chatting with friends, had heaps of laughs and even indulged in a few of my favourite cocktails with the gorgeous Boutique Babes.
Loved the chance to play with new goodies! There are so many nice collections to choose from!!
Sadly there has not been a lot of creating happening at my house since then so today I thought I would share my pages from retreat along with my ScrapBoutique challenges I have yet to share.

Here I have used the soft and pretty Basic Grey Serenade papers to which I have added sinamay and cardboard. The title was cut from my Silhouette Cameo :)

I just love the colours in this range Glitz Design Cashmere Dame. Such beautiful papers and tapes from them this time round. I have added Prima flowers and a Pink Paislee chipboard resist heart.

This would have to be my favourite Kaisercraft collection ever...Pickled Pear and the woodgrain and delicate patterns here make be swoon, lol. I have again added Prima flowers and a Pink Paislee heart (can't get enough of these) and a lovely 2Crafty title that I won in a prize.

I'm lovin the colours in the Heidi Swapp Vintage Chic range too! This one was for the Retreat speed scrap. I have used die cuts from the range and the title and little birdie is by Scrapmatts.

And my last page is the sketch challenge using older Cosmo Cricket papers from my stash. I love these photos of Mikala getting ready to release a turtle into the sea on Kuta Beach. She was so excited to be doing something wonderful for the environment. I hope her little fella was one of the ones to make it  :)

This month I am hosting the ScrapBoutique Stylist challenge and it's a simple one this time...to alter the shape of a photo to use on your page! This is my page where I cut my photo into a tag shape... had lots of fun here with texture paste and distress stains.

And these are my pages from the November cyber crop which I am still yet to share here... I won't bore you with which challenges they were for (mainly because I can't remember back that far) lol.

And finally I thought I would share my mini book I made of our recent trip to Bali using Amy Tangerine sketchbook, die cuts and fabric strips.

Thanks for making it this far and thanks in advance for any comments you may leave for me :)

New Design Team Work

Hello there, thanks for visiting today :)
I have been busy creating with my latest ScrapBoutique stylist pack....
Oh how I love October Afternoon! The colours and patterns always make me happy!!
I got to play with the new Sew Fun Banners! These really are a great product to use...you simply stitch along the top edge, carefully remove them from the sheet and you have a lovely banner to add to your page :) Here I have used the banner with journal cards, label stickers and even the journal card packaging.

All the colours are lovely in this collection and this wood grain paper is fabulous! I added a title sticker from the Woodland Park sticker sheet which I have added glossy accents to...love the extra dimension it gives!

I have also been playing with the Fancy Pants Hopscotch collection! Love the bright, happy colours in this range...and I love this photo of my two gorgeous nieces!

And another using some of the papers with more muted colours.

I am starting to get excited about the upcoming ScrapBoutique Retreat to be held at Opal Cove in Coffs Harbour! The countdown is on and it will be fantastic to scrap and catch up with friends at this fabulous venue. Just need to get myself organised and not leave things to the last minute like I usually do!

Start of a new month!!

Hello there

Well it's the start of a new month already and the challenges are now up in the ScrapBoutique forum! I am hosting the Stash Stomper this month and we will be stomping our stash of Banners!

And this is my page using the fantastic new October Afternoon Midway collection. These Sew Fun Banners really are a lot of fun to use!

A few of the girls at the Boutique (myself included) have been having a bit of a problem getting the mojo flowing so Chelsea posted a weekend sketch challenge to get things moving. This is my page using the sketch and pretty new Fancy Pants Hopscotch papers! I just love this cute photo of my little niece and nephew all dressed up for their Uncle's wedding.

Both of these ranges are available in the Boutique now!

Stylist Layouts to Share

Hello there :-)

Last month I was lucky enough to receive three gorgeous ranges in my ScrapBoutique Stylist Pack! I didn't quite know which collection to play with first, lol.

So I decided to choose some of my favourite Bali photos and thought the MME The Sweetest Thing Tangerine matched these lovely shots of the divine Miss Mikala perfectly!
I had some fun fussy cutting the papers and playing with the gorgeous tapes! I included lots of the layered stickers too.

Next is October Afternoon Woodland Park...more pretty colours here and the papers and tapes have the most gorgeous patterns! Isn't the chevron pattern just the cutest?  I made the little flags on the 'Bali' layout using the washi tape from the collection.

My last pages to share are using Prima Romance Novel. I totally love this romantic collection and I think the embellishments are some of the prettiest I have seen! I had so much fun cutting, punching and layering these gorgeous papers!!

That's all I have to share for now and I would like to say a big thank you to you for stopping by. I am sorry if I haven't commented on your blog lately...I have been stopping by but for some reason I can't scroll down to view all the post on some blogs. I'm not sure why this is happening and if the problem is my computer or blogger!

Cyber Crop Layouts!

Hi there,
Hope the school holidays have been treating you well. I have been enjoying some time at home with the kids and the spring weather has been fabulous!
Today, I thought I would share the pages I completed for the ScrapBoutique 'colourful' cyber crop. I was so happy to get all the challenges done this time!

This one was for Chelsea's challenge which was to create a background using two or more colours. I have used a Crafter's Workshop template with impasto and then misted over the top. The papers are from the Studio Calico Heyday range.

Next was Karen's challenge to use sporting colours, red, black and white and to include some stitching somewhere on your page. I have used a couple of Basic Grey ranges and added a Kaiser transparency.

And my last page was for Sharon's speed scrap. I have used Prima papers and a Mr Huey's template with impasto mixed with paint.

Enjoy your last few days before school goes back!

It's been a while...

Hi there
How time flies! It has been a month since my last post and a lot has happened in that time! Firstly, I had my October Afternoon Farmhouse card set published in Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine. It was so exciting for me seeing my work in the mag :-)
This is how they looked in print....

As seen in Cardmaking, Stamping and Papercraft magazine Vol 18 No 8

I must say I really loved the styling and the colours looked amazing!

Some other exciting news is that I headed off on an adventure to Bali to attend my BIL's wedding. Bali is not a place that was on my wishlist to visit but after spending a wonderful week there I would love to return again one day.

Relaxing by the pool...

The view out the front of our Kuta hotel...

Very scenic rice terraces at Ubud...

The Royal Temple, one of the temples we visited...

A magical sunset at Jimbaran Bay, where we dined on the beach...

Some interesting desserts I learnt how to make at Anika Balinese Cooking Class...

We visited the food markets to learn about the local produce before starting the cooking class!

And of course the reason we were there was to attend Kirsten and Warren's wonderful wedding celebration. The setting was perfect! We dined overlooking the beach and were treated to a gorgeous sunset :-)

Our holiday was a wonderful, relaxing time full of fun and great experiences!

Now for some scrappy shares...

This month at ScrapBoutique I am hosting the Stylist challenge and my challenge is to use at least five layers of different products on your page. This is my page using the Basic Grey Clippings range! My layers are texture paste, paper strips, stickers, chipboard and transparencies. There is still time to join in so hop over here to see all the details.

This weekend the ScrapBoutique Cyber Crop kicked off and this month is all about colour...

My challenge is an inspiration photo of this Spring's hottest fashion colours!

Image sourced from College Fashion

I just love this season's colours of Tangerine, Mint, Citrine, Green and Coral and my challenge is to use all these colours on your page along with some fabric.

My page uses these really pretty Studio Calico Heyday papers and fabric strips. The mistable Thickers are also from the range and I have misted them with Mr Huey's Mint Julep. I have covered the tag with the fabric strips and included a few MME The Sweetest Things Tangerine stickers and washi tape (love this stuff).

So that's all for today! Thanks for visiting and I hope to catch up on some blog visiting soon :-)
