Scrap Boutique Postcards Competition - Week 1

I have joined in the Postcards competition over at Scrap Boutique. Each week a postcard is posted in the forum for inspiration. The challenge for week one was to create a layout inspired by Venice, Italy. I was inspired by the Chandelier, music paper, red from the wine and gold from the face mask in the postcard. I have used 7 Gypsies Victoria paper along with a Tim Holtz ornate plate and Prima flowers and bling. The photo is of my Mother and Father In Law at a recent masked ball they attended. The Scrap Boutique gallery is looking fantastic...you should pop over and have a look at all the different interpretations of the challenge.

A card to share

Today I thought I would share a card I made using Kaiser scraps from my 'Family' layout. These papers are yummo! I love making cards with my leftovers..they are so easy to make and it is great having some handy when a birthday comes around. I think handmade cards are so much better than mass produced ones...they are lovely when you add your own greeting inside, so much more personal.

Kaisercraft Devonshire

Hi there
I thought I would share a layout I completed using these lovely new papers from Kaisercraft. I have been going through a box of old photos belonging to my Mother and have come across some lovely pictures of her and her family. I love looking at the clothing they wore and I am fascinated by all the old buildings and cars in the backgrounds. This one is of my Grandmother and two of her daughters Edna and Shirley...I love their dresses. I have added Prima bling which is a favourite product of mine at the moment.

Gorgeous Giant Pandas

I thought I would share this layout I completed for the April Stash stomper at Scrapboutique.
I have always loved giant pandas...collecting many figurines and plush toys over the years. I was so happy when I heard that a pair of pandas were coming to Australia, although I never thought I would get to see them in the flesh. Well that all changed when my beautiful friend Kim told me she would be getting married in McLaren Vale not far from Adelaide. I was so excited and you can imagine my joy at finally getting to see these gorgeous creatures, Wang Wang and Funi. :-)
I have used these fantastic Prima papers that I had in my stash (I bought them just because of my love of pandas and I am so glad I saved them until now). The design is a sketch by Em, one of the designers at Scrapboutique.

Aren't they just the most gorgeous animal you have seen???

Thanks for stopping by and any comments :-)

A layout to share

Hi everyone,

Hope you are enjoying your long weekend. I know I am... spending some relaxing days at home with the kids and making some time for scrapping.
I completed this layout of Mikala which is based on the Sunday roast by Em over at Scrapboutique. I didn't get it completed on time but had lots of fun with this one....I love Em's style of scrapping.

Thanks for stopping by...hope you have a safe and happy Easter xx
