Some Lime Rickey

Hi

Hope everyone had a great time on Australia Day. I have been using up some BG Lime Rickey on layouts recently. I had a collection pack which I hadn't even touched but now I've started using it I am loving the colours. So bright and cheery! This one is for a challenge over at Scrap Boutique where you had to scrap a page about the decade you were born in...the psychedelic colours in this paper were perfect for the 60's.

I also joined in a challenge over at Anna's Craft Cupboard this month. This one is of my Mum and Jake when he was younger. It is a favourite photo of mine and I love the way it's turned out...bright and summery. The design is a sketch by Wendy Smith.

I completed this one of my Mum and her great grandson Riley on the weekend. Love the blues in this one and the chippie shapes are so cute.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.

Layouts using some of my favourite papers

Hello

Gee it's warm here today...I am spending an easy day at home with the kids so thought I would share a few older pages of mine using some of my favourite paper ranges.

I have used Scrap Within Reach papers here...this collection was so perfect for boys pages and cards. The photo is of my cute little nephew Elvis.

Isn't it sad that Scenic Route are no longer around...I totally loved this range as well. This layout was inspired by an older challenge at Scrap Boutique...which I didn't complete on time but loved the idea of recording the things you see each day as you drive around your home town. These photos show some of the things I see each day on the drive home...I don't often stop to appreciate what a lovely area I live in. I enjoyed creating something that I can look back on in years to come and know how lucky I was to live here.

I absolutely loved the K&Company range Wild Saffron. The gorgeous butterflies were a favourite of mine as were the fabric brads...so pretty. These photos of my DD Mikala was taken at the beautiful Moonee Beach reserve. This one was based on a Country Papercraft sketch.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by :)

Layouts to share

On the weekend I completed these layouts of my daughter Mikala. This one uses Bella and Daisy D's paper. I have added glimmermist, AC thickers title, a HS felt butterfly and a Green Tara flower with Prima centre.

For this one I used BG Wisteria papers with lots of ink and distressing. I have used my fabulous new MS punch, green tara and Prima flowers, Collections branch and a cuttlebug butterfly. I have inked and glimmermisted the paper doily and added a BG title and a little sewing. I just love this photo of Mikala...she took it herself. I was suprised to find it when I was downloading pics from her camera. I think it is a real gem :)

I completed both these layouts for a challenge posted by Mrs Frizz over at the Country Papercraft forum...why don't you go check them out...they are a friendly bunch of ladies.

Thanks for visiting :)

Lime Tart Challenge #6

Good Morning.

Lime Tart have posted their first challenge for the year...to make a layout or card with the colours red, white and blue plus star embellishments. I have chosen to make a card for my nephew Beau who celebrates his birthday on Australia Day. I have used Kaisercraft papers, a chipboard star which I have inked and covered in glossy accents and another which I covered in paper and made into a button. I love making my own embellishments and using them on my pages. I have used Carolees stickers for the greeting. A simple one but I like the way it turned out.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend :)

New layouts for a New Year

It's back to work for me now but luckily Mikala and I got a chance to do some scrapping together on the weekend.

This is a layout by Mikala of her with her Dad and brother Jake taken just before they left for a cricket carnival in Tamworth. The design is a Country Papercraft sketch and I think she did a great job.

This is a simple layout I did using a piece of Sassafras Lass paper, bazzill, some thickers and a chipboard star. It was from a Stuck sketch...they have some lovely designs. I just love this paper and this photo is a favourite of mine!

I have used Fancy Pants Rough and Tough and thickers for this layout of Jake. I loved this thunder paper when I saw it and thought it would be perfect for a page about Jake's love of AC/DC's music. It's great to see those guys still going strong after all these years.

Congratulations Jake...on getting 25 no with your new bat today. Well done!

Take care,

Leanne xx

Happy New Year

Hi

I thought I would hop on and say Happy New Year. Hope you all have a healthy and happy 2010. It seems like only yesterday that we were celebrating the new millennium and I had two young children. Time goes so fast... now Jake is a teenager sleeping half the day away and Mikala is no longer a little girl but a 'tween' who loves Twilight. We really have to make the most of every day...I hope you are enjoying yours!

Before I go will share a card I made today for my little niece Zoe who turns two tomorrow. I have used a Stampavie stamp painted with watercolour pencils. I love to colour stamped images and these little stamps are so cute. They really do stamp beautifully!

Take care xx
